MONTH OF June

What do you want to build, Aries? In late April and early May, two change-making eclipses stirred up “business as usual,” particularly the solar (new moon) eclipse in YOUR sign on April 20. Since then, you’ve been launched onto a brand-new path, and you’ll continue to get clearer and clearer about the next chapter of your life’s purpose.

This June, we’re settling into the first full month of Jupiter’s year-long visit to Taurus, which spans from May 16, 2023, until May 25, 2024. June is slow and deliberate, a new pace that might take getting used to—but will pay dividends if you do. Rather than rushing into things with your trademark “ready, fire, aim” style, you’ll thrive by taking a measured, methodical and even minimalist approach to success.

With supersizer Jupiter now in your second house of income and productivity, your earnings could expand over the summer, too. Ready for some new revenue streams? Widen your viewfinder. By looking beyond the go-to sources, a new role or project could bring prosperity from unexpected places. The trick? Prioritize how you spend your time and energy, and choose quality over quantity. Don’t get dazzled by the shiny and trendy because the real prize is likely hiding in plain sight. As much as you love to chase, you’ll just end up squandering your energy if you do. Low-hanging fruit is in season for you now, Aries!

Another reason not to force an agenda? June brings two more retrogrades among the slow-moving outer planets: Structured Saturn and dreamy Neptune join calculating Pluto in the retrograde brigade. These cycles are typically milder than, say, a Mercury or Venus retrograde because those fast-moving “inner planets” impact our day-to-day lives more directly. Make no mistake: You’ll still feel these retrogrades. But since they last four to five months, it’s more of a long, steady recalibration.

The first planet to reverse is Saturn, which will turn retrograde in Pisces and your twelfth house of endings, healing and closure from June 17 until November 4. Then, on June 11, Pluto, retrograde from May 1 to October 10, backs from Aquarius to Capricorn, putting its potent lens on your tenth house of career. The month ends with Neptune also turning retrograde in Pisces (the sign it rules), which could plunge you into an important period of creativity, spiritual questioning and emotional exploration from June 30 until December 6.

Once Cancer season kicks in for a month on June 21, you might be ready to hang a hammock or escape to the beach and tune out the world for a while. Not a bad idea, Aries! After the super-active last 12 months you had hosting Jupiter—and with the karmic north node entering your sign mid-July—this would be THE time to slip off the grid for some soul-searching and rejuvenation.

It’s Gemini season until June 21

Get out and circulate, Aries. Although you’re in a busy new work cycle, you’ve got planetary permission to break from your bootstrapping efforts and commune with your crew! With the Sun flitting through Gemini and your third house of kindred spirits until June 21, the spotlight is on local events, dynamic duos and unfiltered self-expression. Simply put, it’s all about “who you know” this month.

The third house rules local activity, and with the energizing Sun here, RSVP “yes” to barbecues and casual group hangouts. Get some quality time on the books with friends. Hit a few festivals, conferences or industry mingles—and watch the synergy spark! It’s the best time of year to meet like-minded people whose skills complement your own.

If you’ve got a media project in the works, Gemini season is a favorable time to develop it since your mind will be extra sharp. Anything that involves writing, teaching and learning will keep your curiosity satisfied.

The Sagittarius full moon inspires honest convo June 3

Need to have a no-holds-barred conversation with someone? Pour your heart out when the June 3 Sagittarius full moon hands you the megaphone to speak your truth. With la luna beaming into your outspoken ninth house, you won’t be able to bite your tongue any longer. Ready to take a leap of faith? This risk-loving lunation could give you the green light. The ninth house rules travel, entrepreneurship and higher education. You may decide to venture into one of these areas today and take a decisive step forward. Go ahead, Aries, press “book now!”

Pluto retrograde backs into Capricorn on June 11

Professional pivot? This June 11, shadowy Pluto, which has been retrograde since May 1, slips out of Aquarius and back into Capricorn, sending potent transformational energy through your tenth house of career.

Pluto started its two-decade voyage through Aquarius on March 23, entering this sign for the first time since 1798. We’ve gotten a sneak preview of this lengthy cycle that will begin in earnest late next year. Pluto now backs into Capricorn until January 21, 2024, will dart between Capricorn and Aquarius until settling into Aquarius for a 20-year run in November 2024.

For the rest of its retrograde (until October 10), you might find yourself negotiating power dynamics—and possibly power struggles—with people in authority positions. If you’re the one in this role, you may have to create firmer boundaries with folks who answer to you. With intense Pluto in this structured zone, anything (and anyone) that feels controlling or oppressive could set off your Aries ire. Men and fathers fall in this zodiac zone, which could illuminate a relationship with a key male that needs transformation and repair. Don’t be surprised if old resentments flare up with a father figure type, hopefully leading to resolution for once and for all!

Are the current structures of your life strong enough to support your goals and plans? The rest of the year, especially until October 10, could herald a cycle of soul-searching around your professional path. If you’re not doing what’s true to you, it will be hard to ignore that. You could feel annoyingly boxed in by your schedule and in deep resistance to any kind of limitations.

But before you go overturning everything in your life, be aware that Pluto rules the unconscious, including the ways we project our own baggage onto others. Is that iron-fisted manager or nightmare client reflecting some part of you…or driving up feelings you need to confront instead of sweeping aside? Don’t block the messenger. Look deeper, Aries. Once you resolve this conflict within yourself, you may find that the triggering situation resolves on its own.

Saturn turns retrograde in Pisces on June 17

If Pluto’s slide back into Capricorn wasn’t enough to spark your soul-searching, wait a week. On June 17, authoritative Saturn begins its annual retrograde, reversing through Pisces for the first time since the mid-1990s. What are you DOING with your life—and does it feel purposeful? This cycle, which will last until November 4, could plunge you into a period of deep reflection around this very theme.

As structured Saturn turns retrograde in your unstructured twelfth house, you may long to be free from anything too defining or confining. Saturn retrograde may unleash a desire for more meaningful work and impactful contribution. With expansive Jupiter in Taurus bringing new income streams, some Aries might pivot to a new path or take on a different role in your current line of work where you’re helping others cultivate THEIR talents and emerge.

Have you been silently struggling with an emotional or mental well-being challenge? Given the stress of today’s world, it wouldn’t be a surprise. Saturn retrograde in this subconscious sector could push you to get the professional support you need, whether that’s to break a childhood pattern or free yourself from an addiction. This cycle could bring a period of sober self-reflection and deep inner transformation if you’re willing to do the work. A therapist or expertly trained healer can help you through the process.

Note: With stubborn Saturn retrograde, you may be tempted to resist the deeper lesson, pointing the finger of blame or projecting your own problems onto other people. Careful not to shirk responsibility or you could miss an important breakthrough. Remove the blame, shame and judgment and focus on a vision of where you’d like to be. We all need to ask for help or admit we don’t have all the answers sometimes. It’s okay to be human, Aries!

The Gemini new moon (and Father’s Day)  is on June 18

Two is your magic number this June 18, when the year’s only Gemini new moon brings a fresh start to your third house of communication, ideas and kindred spirits. This is an excellent day for brainstorming, creative work (especially if it involves writing, media or teaching) or pitching one of your dynamic ideas. Put the word out!

Feeling synergy? You might team up on a trial project to test your chemistry. But pace yourself and be careful what you share in the heat of excitement. This new moon will form a tense square to deceptive Neptune in your twelfth house of illusions. Just because you feel the creative click does NOT mean this person has proven themselves trustworthy! Do your homework and ask the difficult but important questions.

Intentions planted at the Gemini new moon will unfold over the coming six months. Send out pitches, proposals and even just some ideas for feedback. Reach out to an influencer or a person you admire with a DM on social media or by contacting them through more formal channels. Ask a mutual friend to introduce you. Maybe you’ll spread the good karma by playing superconnector and hooking up two people you think would be compatible. (Just get their permission before you go surprising them with a “Meet each other!” email or group text.)

Father’s Day is June 18 in the US, and if you’re celebrating, remember that your words will be extra impactful this year. With the new moon in verbal Gemini, a genuine toast or a handwritten card (maybe both!) will go far in making your father figures feel appreciated.

Summer solstice! Cancer season starts June 21

Hunker down at home base, Aries. After a buzzing and bustling Gemini season, the mood gets a bit more serene and sensitive on June 21 as the Sun starts a four-week voyage through watery Cancer and your domesticity sphere, staying in this nostalgic nook until Julyclass="body-el-link standard-body-el-link" 22.

Cancer season begins at the summer solstice, when the Sun reaches its peak height in the northern hemisphere and appears to “stand still” for three days. Take that as a permission slip from the mighty solar power source to slow down a little, Aries!

And since Cancer rules your fourth house of home and family, it’s a good time to slow down, reconnect with your roots and spend quality time with your inner circle during this nostalgic monthlong solar phase. Tie an apron on and commence the nesting: cooking, decorating and puttering around Chateau Aries.

Cancer rules your “yin” fourth house. Women will play a prominent role now, and you’ll crave quality time with the nurturing people in your circle. Your own maternal side could make a strong showing, too. Creative projects are cathartic and restorative now—and even better if you do them with close friends. If you’re not the “paint ‘n sip” or crafting-circle type, a spa day with your crew or a trip to the beach will fill your tanks with the Crabtastic care you crave!

Mars-Uranus square June 25

Chclass="body-el-link standard-body-el-link" eck that inner diva, Aries. On June 25, your ruling planet, Mars, will lock into a tense square with volatile Uranus in Taurus and your financial sector. With Mars in Leo and your dramatic fifth house, egos (including yours) could run amok.

Work or money drama could flare over the holiday weekend. Your confidence may get a shakeup, especially if you receive feedback that’s not quite as flattering as your own self-perception was. While you may feel temporarily flustered, let this be your cue to make larger structural changes, if not a complete change of course, when it comes to your work, love life or the way you present yourself.

Neptune turns retrograde in Pisces June 30

The month ends with one more retrograde—the second planet to reverse through Pisces. From June 30 until December 6, foggy Neptune will join Saturn in an extended U-turn through your twelfth house of closure and healing.

Neptune is the ruler of the twelfth house AND Pisces, serving you a triple dose of “surrendered” energy. Fighting the forces will take a lot more effort than going with the flow this summer and fall, Aries. Drop the defensive and dominant stance that Aries often take and LISTEN to what the universe and your intuition are trying to tell you.

Interestingly, Neptune and Saturn are also polar opposites in their cosmic roles. Neptune is the dissolver of boundaries while Saturn specializes in building them. With both planets in Pisces, you’ll have a unique challenge of trying to set limits with people but not put up barriers or stubbornly block opportunities.

Neptune retrograde is a powerful cycle to do forgiveness work, heal from a heartbreak or mourn a loss that you haven’t wanted to deal with. It can also be a numbing agent—kind of like when the painkillers kick in after surgery. Rather than check out or go into denial, be brave and delve into places that were too tender before.

Not only does Neptune rule compassion and creativity, but it also reveals where we can be gullible and easily deceived. With the fog thinning, you may actually see MORE clearly now, making the summer ideal for ascertaining who’s a trustworthy member of Team Aries. Just because something isn’t happening according to your plan or mental picture doesn’t mean there’s something wrong here. At the same time, don’t wave away your feelings if you sense the energy is “off.” Proceed with an open mind—and open eyes.

Ooh la la! June could be one of the spiciest months of the year for your romantic life, Aries. Lovebird Venus enters Leo on June 5 for an extended visit, staying until October 8. Caveat: This is a mixed blessing since Venus will be retrograde from July 22 to September 3, a time that can challenge even the strongest relationships. Its rocky start might be an omen: Venus will immediately oppose shadowy Pluto in Aquarius that same day (June 5), flashing some of the buried issues—or intriguing secrets—that could come to light

Nonetheless, THIS month Venus cranks up the action when she vamps into dramatic Leo and your flamboyant fifth house. Regardless of your relationship status, this is sure to heat up your romantic life as well as the glamour quotient. Get some fun plans on the books, ideally things that include serious playtime. Plan a decadent date night or get tickets to a music festival since the fifth house rules creativity and the arts.

Meanwhile, the other cosmic lovebird, passionate Mars, is marching through Leo and your romantic fifth house all month, dialing up the passion and inciting you to take a risk in the name of love. Just watch out for a destabilizing square to volatile Uranus on June 26, when a rash move could threaten the security you’ve worked hard to build.

The wheels are turning! Not only is the Sun in Gemini and your third house of ideas until June 21, but lucky Jupiter is starting its first full month of a yearlong visit to Taurus and your income sector, revving up your revenue possibilities. If you’re up for a promotion or even a total professional pivot, you could be a recruiter’s dream between now and May 2024.

During Gemini season, you’ll be especially social. Making money doesn’t have to mean being chained to your desk or endless Zoom meetings. Get out and circulate with like-minded people and make new connections during the first three weeks of June.

The June 3 Sagittarius full moon beams into your ninth house of entrepreneurship, publishing and long-distance connections. Exciting opportunities could come in from afar. You may have a chance to share your work with someone in another time zone or to mix business and pleasure by traveling for work. Keep your ears open for this in the two weeks following this full moon.
