MONTH OF June

The wider world is calling, Libra—and you’re ready to explore! With the Sun in Gemini and your visionary, adventurous ninth house until June 21, your craving for novelty is at its annual peak. Book a vacation, sign up for a workshop, experiment with international cuisine. Broaden your horizons in every possible way and share the fun with your favorite people.

At the same time, there’s a very private energy building, even a desire to go off the grid or dive into life’s mysteries. Get used to it. This June, Jupiter will spend its first full month in Taurus and your intimate eighth house, a cycle that started this May 16 and will stretch until May 2024. From business mergers to erotic escapades, this Jupiter cycle only comes around every 12 years. Enjoy the intrigue but know that the heightened emotional and psychological energy will also require that you take more time to rest, meditate and spend introspective time alone (that’s a good thing, Libra!).

Retrograde high season begins in the second half of June as Saturn (June 17) and Neptune (June 30) join Pluto in reverse position for the next few months. On June 11, Pluto backs out of Aquarius and into Capricorn until early next year, one of its last few dances through your domestic fourth house.

Since March 23, you’ve gotten a sneak preview of Pluto’s transformational powers from its short trip through your fifth house of romance and creativity, a 20-year cycle that begins in earnest November 2024. For the rest of this year, Pluto will help you sort through any unresolved family dynamics or childhood patterns that are still driving your unconscious actions. Becoming aware of these “blind spots” will empower you, Libra. You may also feel a strong desire to bring protective spiritual elements and rituals into your home.

Summer officially begins with the June 21 solstice, but life’s not instantly a beach for you, Libra. The Sun will spend the next four weeks in Cancer and your ambitious, career-focused tenth house. While others dash off to their summer Airbnbs and beach trips, you’ll be busy making moves and turning your dreams into reality. Fear not: When Leo season begins on July 22, you can step into a social month to make up for any lost sunshine time. Until then, get to work on those goals!

It’s Gemini season until June 21

Open your GPS and drop a few pins on the map, Libra. As the Sun bounds through Gemini and your adventurous, worldly ninth house until June 21, you’ve got an appetite for adventure—the farther from home base, the better! Short getaways and staycations can break up the monotony if you can’t log out for longer.

With Jupiter in Taurus making you more internal (and intense) for the next year, a change of scenery could help you stay balanced—and give you inspiring new subject matter to chew on. A sexy getaway with your favorite plus-one could spice up Gemini season while travel-loving Jupiter is in this erotic zone of your chart.

Can’t leave city limits? Feed your curious mind and attend an inspiring workshop or a mind-expanding event. The first three weeks of June are all about exploring anything that captures your fancy. Whatever you do, swing as far out of your comfort zone as you can. From long-distance business opportunities to cross-cultural connections, mixing it up is your M.O. this month.

Raise your voice at the June 3 Sagittarius full moon

If you DO have something to say, you’ll be handed the mic promptly on June 3, when the Sagittarius full moon beams into your third house of communication. There’s no holding back today, Libra. You could have a powerful message to deliver through writing, speaking or teaching. A social media post could also go viral over the next two weeks.

Have you been searching for a new neighborhood—either to live or hang out in? This full moon in your local-action sector can help you pinpoint the perfect new zip code. A sibling, neighbor or colleague may figure into events today. Got something to get off your chest? La luna in outspoken Sagittarius could clear the way for a much-needed honest talk. The full moon may find you fielding a LOT of options, so try not to get overwhelmed. Take in the range of choices and weigh their benefits and shortcomings.

Pluto retrograde backs into Capricorn on June 11

One last round of karmic cleanup with our family, Libra? That might be in order for the rest of the year. Shadowy Pluto, the ruler of transformation and the unconscious, has been retrograde since May 1, when it began its backward slide through Aquarius and your fifth house of romance and creativity. On June 11, Pluto will slip back into Capricorn for the rest of the retrograde, staying in your domestic zone until January 21, 2024.

Next year, Pluto will volley between Capricorn and Aquarius, finally settling into Aquarius for a 20-year run in November 2024. Throughout this time, prepare to deal with some of the dynamics from your family of origin—and to get a clear idea of how they’ve shaped your love life, self-expression and confidence in the world.

No need to be worried because you’ve had plenty of experience with this, Libra. Aside from its brief plunge into Aquarius that started this March 23, Pluto has been in Capricorn 2008, slowly alchemizing your family ties and helping you heal old childhood patterns.

The rest of Pluto’s retrograde, which will last until October 10, calls for self-examination before you make any hasty moves or decisions. Plans to start a family, buy a home or to move could undergo deeper consideration. You may need to work through some co-dependency issues, particularly with your mother, a child or a female relative.

Someone who fits this description may also need extra emotional or psychological support now. Don’t get caught trying to play savior, though. Unless you’re dealing with a minor (in which case it’s appropriate to step in and get them help or resources), remember to empower rather than enable. Ultimately, we all have to make our own life choices, and you can’t force anyone to do things your way.

Saturn turns retrograde in Pisces on June 17

Time to get your systems in order, Libra? Structured Saturn begins a retrograde backspin from June 17 to November 4, reversing through Pisces and your sixth house of wellness and organization. This stoic cycle may force you to cut back on stress and excess, which is not necessarily a bad thing, especially if you’re been rushing around and trying to do too much.

Your health or a work situation might require dedicated, no-frills, daily discipline. If you’ve lapsed into caretaker mode or have been “overfunctioning,” you’ll need to stop enabling people and start demanding that Team Libra pulls its weight. Sticking to a routine could get harder, but any Saturn-related breakdowns are your prompt to delegate, hire solid help and streamline your life so you can focus on your priorities.

The Gemini new moon is on June 18

Shoot for the stars! The June 18 Gemini new moon could bring an exciting entrepreneurial opportunity or the urge to broaden your horizons. You’re hungry for new experiences and knowledge, so tap the hivemind for book, podcast and workshop suggestions—or maybe even start a regular meetup with people who have similar goals and interests.

Can you add more flexibility to your work schedule or carve out time for an indie project? This lunar lift will be in effect from now until the corresponding Gemini full moon on November 27. With this new moon activating your travel and higher-learning sector, you could plan a bucket-list trip, apply to an educational program or start planting the seeds for growing a business that has YOUR name on it.

Heads up: This new moon will be tangled in a confusing 90-degree square with hazy Neptune in Pisces and your detail-oriented sixth house. As excited as you are to jump on an opportunity, give a firm “maybe” for now and do some research into costs, timing and the more “realistic” (if less sexy) parts of the puzzle.

Father’s Day in the U.S. is also June 18, and a dad in your life (whether yours or someone else’s) might offer wise advice if you ask him. If you’re not close to your father, this new moon may help you see him from a more philosophical and forgiving perspective. Finding gratitude, even if it’s just for his giving you life, will put YOU in a positive frame of mind on this sometimes-complicated day.

Summer solstice! Cancer season starts June 21

On June 21, the Sun starts a monthlong march through Cancer and your professional tenth house, setting your career on fire. Don’t get TOO into summer-casual mode just yet. While others are cooling down at the beach, you may be heating things up in the air-conditioned office, toiling away on a big project or deal. Of course, if you can make power moves while poolside or email that proposal with your toes in the sand, by all means, do!

Cancer season begins at the summer solstice, when the Sun reaches its peak height in the northern hemisphere and appears to “stand still” for three days. With the Sun also at the top of YOUR chart, this is a great moment to review your goals and plans before you swan-dive in. Take a moment to map out your master plan before you hit “go.”

Mars-Uranus square June 25

ConflictConflict at command central? On June 25, pushy Mars andclass="body-el-link standard-body-el-link" volatile Uranus will get ensnared in a challenging 90-degree square, which could bring up deep-seated emotions, resentment and trust issues. Jealousy could flare, but don’t indulge any knee-jerk reactions. Get the facts before you react. That said, the tension between lusty Mars and spontaneous Uranus in your erotic eight house could make for a sizzling early summer escapade. Didn’t see that one coming? Don’t overthink it. If you’re feeling the chemistry, see where it goes.

Neptune turns retrograde June 30

On June 30, foggy Neptune will join Saturn in a retrograde revival through Pisces and your sixth house of health, service and organization. Where have the edges of your life gotten fuzzy? Can you reduce stress in some part of your life by delegating or systematizing?

With muddled Neptune pivoting here until December 6, be mindful of your whereabouts since you could be accident-prone or make careless mistakes while multitasking. If you get lost in your head with overplanning and overthinking, remind yourself to tune in to your surroundings and be fully present wherever you are.

At work, focus on completing your tasks with excellence rather than cramming too much onto your to-do list and phoning it in. With Saturn retrograde, you’ll want to keep your standards high, even if it takes you a little bit longer. This is a time best used for reflection and behind-the-scenes planning—one careful step at a time, the preferred Libra way!

In some ways, Neptune’s retrograde can actually thin the fog, helping to clarify an issue you’ve either avoided or been in denial about. If you’ve had a mysterious nagging ache or pain, get it checked out—but solicit a second or third opinion if it seems warranted. The sixth house rules the digestive system, and Neptune’s retrograde is a good time to check on your “gut health.” From popping a probiotic to taking a microbiome test to (if you’re of the age) getting a colonoscopy, it may not make for fabulous dinner-table conversation, but keeping those intestines functioning healthfully can be a huge vitality boost. Use this time for self-care and start treating your body like a temple again.

Keep it light! With both of the love planets, Venus and Mars, spending most of June in Leo and your eleventh house of friendship, there’s nothing more appealing than a bestie with benefits. Passionate Mars has been in Leo since May 20 and will remain here until July 10. You could feel sexy sparks with someone you never thought of “that way.” Since the eleventh house rules technology, online connections could also heat up.

On June 5, Venus joins Mars in Leo and sprinkles even more fairy dust on your social sector. This will lighten things up even more and allow you to enjoy friends and activities without feeling the need to advance your agenda or stress about the future. For couples, it’s a great time to hang out with friends, hit up festivals and outdoor concerts, or maybe host a barbecue. This transit reminds us how much fun it is to simply laugh and enjoy life together.

Venus will stay in Leo for an extended visit, sticking around until October 8. But it’s not all sweetness and light. From July 22 to September 3, Venus will be retrograde, a tricky cycle that happens every 18 months and can test even the strongest ties.

Upon entering Leo on June 5, Venus will immediately oppose shadowy Pluto in your dramatic fifth house, which could bring up some buried resentment, power plays or diva antics. This could be a sneak preview of some of the issues you could deal with during Venus retrograde. But fear not: This Venus-Pluto opposition will wane after a couple days.

The other day to watch is June 26, when Mars and Uranus lock into a heated square. A rare flash of jealousy and control could crop up out of the blue. If it’s not you getting snatched up by the green-eyed monster, you could be caught off-guard by someone else’s suspicious accusations. Do your best to diffuse these feelings and gather the facts rather than react.

No more playing small, Libra. The Sun is in Gemini and your visionary ninth house until June 21, and it’s time give your wildest dreams some care and feeding! Do you yearn to travel, start a business or return to school? Explore the options and see what you can make work. While this is a great month to take a calculated gamble, you might be a little overly optimistic. Don’t overshoot the mark with your risk-taking, and be careful not to take on more than you can realistically handle.

Luckily, you’ll get by with a little help from your team, so rally the troops to get your ideas past the finish line. Fiery Mars is racing through Leo and your eleventh house of group endeavors and technology all month, a cycle that spans from May 20 to July 10. A collaboration or online project that began heating up in May could gain even more momentum as June rolls along. Your influencer status is on the rise, and the public could eagerly embrace your cutting-edge ideas if you put them out there.

When the Sun enters Cancer and your professional sector for four weeks starting June 21, put the whiteboard and dry-erase markers back in the supply closet and get down to business. It’s prime time for hashing out a master plan, talking to decision makers and putting those visionary ideas into concrete form.
